Summer Camps 2013

Stubbe Horse Farm will be hosting four camps this summer for riders aged 6-15 years old. This is a great way to get exercise and make new friends! We provide a fun and safe environment for your child to learn how to ride. Participants will be able to ride twice daily, learn about how a horse thinks and reacts to humans and other horses, grooming and care of a horse including mane and tail braiding, how to handle a distracted horse, games on horseback, how to be a responsible rider, swimming and crafts depending on the weather, and a wrap-up BBQ on the Friday, as well as a demonstration to show your parents what you’ve learned!

The dates are as follows: July 2-5, July 15-19, July 29-August 2, and August 12-16. Note: the week of July 2-5 is a four day camp, best suited to young children. The cost for that week will be reduced by one day’s worth. The week of July 29- August 2 is geared towards older teens and students who are showing. We will be doing rider level testing during this camp week. If there is enough interest we can make a second week for older teens as well.

Please reserve your spot as soon as possible, as space is limited. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required before June 1, 2013 to hold your spot. Camp hours are 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Early drop-off and late pick-up are available with prior arrangement.
